Tuesday night saw the launch of Decor8 blogger Holly Becker‘s new book Decorate Workshop at Anthropologie, Regent Street. MyCasita was in attendance and we had a lovely time.
The evening started with an hour of networking for members of press and bloggers. It was lovely to meet other bloggers in person and meet new people as well. Anthropologie did a great job hosting. Refreshments were served and prosecco flowed freely. They had a selection of nice tasting cakes too.
Holly is quite known, not only within the interiors world but blogging in general because of her online Blogging Your Way Course. I haven’t done it yet, but I plan to take it in March, which is the next start date. This is her second book and it was penned alone. Her first book, Decorate: 1000 design ideas for every room in your home was co-written with Joanna Copestick.
Will Taylor of Brightbazaar, led the second session with a brief interview with Holly. In the book, Holly outlines 8 steps to transforming your home. She gladly shed some light on the not so glamorous process involved in putting the book together. She was real and that’s what made it inspiring.
The interview was followed by a brief interiors styling session with James Leland Day. His home is featured in Holly’s new book. After that, the moment we had all been waiting for arrived and it was time to purchase the book and get it signed. Below are pictures from the event:
A big shout out to all the bloggers I met in person, Mary Ellen, Kate Baxter and Stephanie. It was a lovely evening indeed.
Head down to Anthropologie or search on Amazon to order your own copy.
A review of the book will be done in a later post.
Peace n Love,
